Innovative Offerings Allow for Increased Practice Efficiency and Enhanced Diagnostic Capabilities

NEW YORK, NY – March 19, 2019 – Topcon, of Oakland, NJ, USA, a leading provider of device and software solutions for the eye care industry, will showcase several innovative new offerings at the upcoming Vision Expo East (VEE) conference in New York City.

Topcon Maestro Unlimited: Your Integrated Platform for High Quality Imaging and Efficient Data Management
Your Integrated Platform for High-Quality Imaging and Efficient Data Management

Topcon will unveil the new Maestro Unlimited, which pairs the award-winning Maestro 3D OCT with the new Topcon® Harmony™, a web-based data management application that provides unlimited device connections within your practice.  The integration of the two products gives eye care providers the best of both worlds – a fully automated OCT/Fundus Camera imaging system with a safe, secure platform to store and archive all patient exam data storage.

With Topcon Harmony now onboard all Maestro OCT systems, the practitioner has unlimited instrument connections1 within their practice, allowing them to access their data on a centralized screen viewable from anywhere. The package includes the Maestro Robotic2 OCT with a built-in non-mydriatic retinal camera, an all-in-one PC, a free six months subscription to Topcon Harmony3 and 20GB of free Topcon Cloud.

The vendor-neutral system4 allows the eye care provider to connect their Topcon and non-Topcon imaging devices, regardless of DICOM capabilities, and view the data in an ISO and HIPAA secure, cloud-based platform.

“We are very excited to present these new solutions to the optometric community at Vision Expo East,” stated John Trefethen, Global VP of Marketing and Product Design for Topcon. “Our team has been hard at work leveraging the latest technology to provide a unique combination of hardware and software tools that can not only enhance practice workflow but also improve the level of clinical care within a practice.”

“The new Maestro Unlimited package is a testament to Topcon’s commitment to providing complete solutions for our customers. Not only does our combination Maestro OCT and Fundus Camera system provide exceptional clinical utility, the addition of Topcon Harmony maximizes practice efficiency and provides a practical and secure storage and data management solution, a task that is becoming increasingly critical in today’s busy eye care clinics,” added Genevieve Fay, Senior Director of Global Marketing.

About Topcon

Based in Oakland, NJ, Topcon is a comprehensive ophthalmic device manufacturer within the worldwide ophthalmic community. It introduced the world’s first commercial back-of-the-eye Spectral Domain (SD) and multimodal Swept Source (SS) optical coherence tomography (OCT) systems, which have driven innovation in eye care.

More recently, Topcon started to enhance not only its hardware but also its software solutions. To become the leader in diagnostic software, Topcon has developed a new strategic division, Topcon Healthcare Solutions, whose primary objective is to create world-class software solutions for the eye care industry and beyond. Topcon’s software gives clinicians access to patient exam data captured from OCTs, Visual Fields, Fundus Cameras, and other Topcon and third-party devices. Topcon leverages its new data management system called Harmony, where practitioners gain access to DICOM and non-DICOM information stored in a central, cloud-based environment. Additionally, Topcon now provides an integrated service that connects practitioners to an extensive network of reading services to assist in the management of sight-threatening eye diseases.
